I have not been able to figure out how to create a new MailSession in netweaver through the J2EE Administrator. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Michael,

there is a java:comp/env/mail/MailSession object bound to J2EE engine's naming envirnonment, which can be lookup.

I didn't get your point?

Bojidar,

I should let you know I am pretty new to java as well as only have about 2 weeks of exposure to netweaver. So hopefully my questions are not too off the wall. I would like to create my own mailsession and not use the default. I have launched the J2EE Administrator application and was able to create my own JMS queues/topics as well as connection factories. But it does not seem like I can create my own mailsessions from the J2EE Administrator. I do see a service called Java Mail Client (not sure if this is where you can do it). Not sure if you can even create your own mailsession. Are you forced to use the default? Do you set the SMTP stuff in the default mailsession? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike
