Hi Haynes

I am facing some sort of problem in executing sapserver.cmd

When I click on sapserver.cmd from the folder according to my platform, it doesn't prompt me for drive and SID. It just blink once and goes away, nothing else

What do you think, what could be the problem ?

However, As of now, I am able to run Oracle Universal Installer by using following path for my 32bit on WIN2003 and was able to install oracle database software (unchecking the 'create database' option)

CD Number -> NT -> I386 (for 32bit) -> database -> Install -> oui.exe

But as per installation guide, we should be able to run the following, but somehow not working

CD Number -> NT -> I386 -> sapserver.cmd

If anybody can clear what I am doing is correct or not ?

If you want to see the output don't "click" but rather open a cmd.exe, step to the directory and enter "sapserver.cmd" and check the output.

Hi,

Once is enough

SAP is not supported in Windows XP

This post is about installing Oracle on Windows 2003

Windows 2003 is not Windows XP

I suggest you to try perform an installation on a supported platform and, if you have issues then open a new thread and do not reuse old ones

So did you open a cmd.exe and execute the sapserver.cmd script? What's the output?

Hi,

I will open new thread for other things , thanks for help .

Markus Here is the output

Input Error: There is no file extension in "F:\sap".

or external command,

operable program or batch file.

'F:\sap dump\ORACLE10\51031678_part1\51031678\NT\I386>'

First put the CD file in a directory which should have it's name without space (like in above directory path contains space between 'sap' and 'dump')

Try creating folders like sap_dump and then put/unzip the CD there and then try to run .cmd file as Markus said
