Hi,
I'm trying to install miniSAP 6.10 on a Windows 2000 PC. I have checked my system meets the minimum system requirements. When I run the install I am unable to select the local drive as the default installation location for SAP DB. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Regards,
Jeff.
If you copy disk 1 to your hard drive you can edit the setup script Setup/WA1.R3s . Look at this to see if you can find the value that you need to change.

Many thanks all,
I have finally managed to resolve the problem. There were two main reasons the installation didn't work for me. Firstly, my Windows 2000 file system was FAT32, and it needed to be NTFS. The second problem was that I had set the IP address in my c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc hosts file to be the same as my broadband dial-up IP allocated address. In actual fact, it needed to be set as 127.0.0.0 and associated with my computer name.
I also had to remove the SAPDB registry keys, the C:\sapdb directory, and the c:\documents and settings\administrator\local settings\temp\WA1inst directory and sub-directories.
Having done this the install worked successfully.

Hi Jeff,
Are u trying to install with cd. i suggest u to copy all the installation filr into ur hard disk, then try to install and one more thing check the partition type of ur hard disk. Mini Sap always runs in NTFS format.
