So I have installed everything but when I try to log into the system Im gettin this error:
partner '127.0.0.1:sapdp00' not reached.
WSAECONNREFUSED:connection refused.

Im trying to use it in a virtual machine with windowsXP (the whole system is installed in the VM)

Go MNC Console
Right click on SID and Click on Start .
stupid me...the service was not running. Is there a way to start it when windows boots?
well, to get SAP up and running, you need first the database up !
and I guess, just confirm too, database services are of type automatic in 'Services'. Means, whenever you boot windows, do you get database running automatically ?
Same you can try for SAP services, I never tried.
