VPN Connection requirements for SAP

Hie Gurus

We are considering having a VPN connection between the two sites that we have so that people who are at the other site can be able to access our SAP system. I have little knowledge on VPN connection for SAP systems. Are there any specific requirements for this connection to take place (e.g ports that we need to open up for this to work). Please where can i get the information regarding this area. Thank you in advance.

Hello Partson

The VPN Connection will establish the remote connectivity for the remote users who want to work on SAP and access the other network resources, as you working and accessing the network resources including SAP on LAN. If, your compnay have implemented Network SEcurity Policy for the LAN then it will remain for the remote users .

Also, You can have access SAP through SAPRouter instead of access via the VPN.

Somehow the IP range is to be configured, but I am not sure how. You might want to talk to your network team

For eg. we use Cisco VPN connectivity
