Hi all,
Few querries regarding STS !
How does the STS process starts ? If I want the planning to start every first day of month , how will I schedule the STS to send mails ?
We are using only portal for accessing BW, SAP backend.
The SSO is set. In this scenario, how do we use the STS ? Because STS links are BPS application in BW and they will need authentication of BW.

Hi Subir,
there are several ways of launching STS. For example:
1) Via Email
Send out an Email to everyone (root node for top-down, leaf nodes for bottom-up). This process can be scheduled as a background job. However, you have to take care of a few other things, too, like resetting the STS status, and handling different plan version/sessions if you use them.
2) Via Portal Role
Put the URL for STS (not the BPS web interfaces) into a portal role. This way users can always see where they are at in the planning process.
SSO will work in either scenario. Do you have any specific errors?
