Hi Bernad,

Create a character format in SMARTSTYLES transaction.

Goto transaction SMARTSTYLES create a smartstyle <zstyle>

select character format node now follow the menu path

edit ->create element

enter name of character format and now select font tab->fontstyle->select 'bold' .

+++++++++++++++++++++++

Now goto smartforms, select the text element node you wanted to make in bold,

select 'Output Options' tab and give the smart style you have created above.

Now select 'General Attributes' tab and if you select character formats drop down, you will see the charachter format you have created in smartfstyles t-code.

Apply that format where ever you want, you will see the selected text in bold format.

Hope this helps

Just write this in your text element

 / : This certificate is issued upon the Request of<B>& lv_empname& </> for any legal purpose it may serve.

"B" is a character format that turns the text bold.

"lv_empname" is the variable that stores the employee name , it may be a,:

program symbol,

standard symbol,

text symbol,

simple symbol. as per your requirement.

Thnaks.

Hi,

To get the name as bold, declare paragraph format in smartstyle and assign the style to form.

Creation of paragraph format:

Go to transaction smartstyles->right click on paragraph format-->create a node-->enter name and description-->Go to font tab and assignt he font family, size and style.

Assigning the style to form:

In the form where we want to get this format, go to output options tab-->give the style name-->select the paragraph format name.

Hope this helps you.Let me know if any queris.

Hi,

The other way to get that way is to put it in a standard text the entire content and the employees name embedded in the tags.

....<H>( Employee's name ) </>

This way you can also have the option to translate the standard text in various languages in SO10 and use the standard text in the form wherever is required.

Ram
