Is there any standard implementation provided for the SAP ArchiveLink or is it something you have to do yourself or buy from some other company?

We have been trying to implement Archive link too for the first time, but from what we know,

Archive link needs to implemented and configured by yourself. There are standard classes etc used but we are looking for information too,

Did you implement it successfully,

If you have anything to share with on your experiences it will be great.

Hi Ferry,

Thanks a lot for these documents I will study these and will get with questions. I am sure I will have some as I am BW consultant and first time with Archive links, I am unfamiliar with ABAP too so.

Thanks once again really appriciate your help as I have been struggling past whole week with only the help "archive link" document.

Well, I have a few questions if anyone can help me based on my current research.

1) If an invoice is posted on R3, what all is required (steps ) so that I can display this document as a link in my report in BW. (I understand this a general question but I cant figure out the procedure or process how to setup the whole thing).

2) What is the difference between Archive Link Documents and Document Modelling Workbench ( I have read the Help on this but cant figure out the different and where to use both.)

3)Is there any BAPI that can be called by a third part reporting tool to call these documents through URL or something once archive link is established.

4) The configuration and manitainence is done by whom Basis, functional group, or BW side. (this sounds silly but I need to know how this whole thing works to understand my role as BW person.)
