Hi Forum,

How to execute CLIX commands ? Do we need a separate GUI to execute these commands?

Hi Vinay,

MDM Clix commands are the command line arguments used when we are not using Windows server .They used to perform the same functionas we used to do in MDM console.

CLIX makes most operational MDM Console commands accessible via a command line interface and from within batch files, making it useful for scheduling and automating routine maintenance.

In addition, CLIX provides an added measure of security and consistency, since automated batch operation eliminates the potentially unrestricted access and the types of errors that may be introduced through a manual GUI interface.

It can also be used to automate the process of archiving, unarchiving, start and stop of MDM services through command lind arguments. This are used mainly for admin purpose and making the back up process of repository automatic.

Hi Vinay

you need to install CLIX exe on your machine first. Then the commands can be run at the OS level either individually or using a bat file.

for more details refer to console reference guide, section on CLIX.
