DP to SNP release

Hi Gurus - I have an issue for 1 product for which DP to SNP relese is not working.

The release status shows successfull, but the forecast is not available in SNP.

I ran all the consistency checks and everything seems to be ok. It is not throwing any error nor anything available in the logs.

Also, I tried creating the forecast manually and it works!!!, but DP - SNP release it is not working.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Hi Murali,

Please check the following settings for release from DP to SNP

1) Source Planning Area / Planning Version / Key figure in DP

2) Target Planning Version(SNP) and Category (FA)

3) Give the Daily Bucket Profile. In DP it could be month in SNP it could be daily or weekly as per the Design

4) Give the Range of Materials in the Object selection and the Locations for whuich you want to release the Fcst.

5) Click on Extended and give the Product and Location Characteristics as

* 9AMATNR and 9LOCNO or any other Z you have made for this.*

Tick on the Results logSave this as a Variant and execute the Release through Transaction /SAPAPO/MC90

Hi Murali,

Please check the following.

1) The CVC of new product is maintained in all respects

2) The requirements strategy is maintained for the product in material master

3) Forecast horizon, is defined

4) Check all views in material master in R/3 & APO are maintained correctly

5) Is cons check for POS is throwing any error or logs?

Hi,

While releasing from DP to SNP you should use forecast category FC.

Mention Product and Location name(Planning area and Versions are must).

Then release it to SNP.

The problem is with your category group.

Make sure that your CVC is existing as product -location combination in Model 000 for version 000. Once the product location combination exists in SNP/PPDS then only you have to release from DP to SNP.

Hi,

The release for the product was working fine till last week. Since last week I am seeing a problem.

If this product is not available in Product master it will not show as release was successfull, as it will show the product location doesn't exist.

I am able to create forecast manually, but releasing was a problem.

Hi Muralidhar,

Try these first:

1. The Location-Product you are releasing to in SNP -- does it exist and has it been added to version 000 (/SAPAPO/MAT1)?

2. If the product is numeric, is it formatted correctly in DP? Product numbers are stored as 40 characters with leading zeroes in the system, but they are converted automatically when viewed in the screens.

There is a difference in DP between:

Product 12345 in location ABC

Product 0000000000000000000000000000000000012345 in location ABC
