Updating a Business Object from XML

Hello,

I'm trying to update an Item through the method <b>GetBusinessObjectFromXML</b> but I obtain always the message "The object's key is not set".

On the other hand the insert action works fine.

I think this is because I have not read previously the Item with <b>GetByKey</b>; but if I do this, how can I update the business object with the data in the XML?

Can anybody help me?

Hi Carlos,

With the actual versions of SBO this operation is imposible, when you load a XML file you not have a internal key of this object, for this reason you can't update a an Item via XML.

Is this the case with SP1 as well? Isn't this pretty big issue? Is there a fix/enhancement planned to address this? Is there a workaround for updating data using XML?

A lot of questions, but I am stumped in regards to this limitation.
