File channel getting blocked.

Hi frnds,

Our process is like this.

Flat files keep coming from a legacy system, the files need to be processed and updated to R/3 using an IDOC.

Some times the files come in an unstructured way/Junk files with the same name, the file adapter tries to process the file and since the flat files structure is different its not able to process the file, the files keep coming and get accumulated in the FTP

Now my question is , is it possible to move the file (unstructured ones) to a different folder and is it possible to know the name of the file which is creating problems.

Thanks,

Ven.

Hi Ven,

you can archive faulty message files in a different path going in the sender channel and checking the "Archive Faulty Source Files" checkbox and inserting the alternative path.

You can monitor all the files archived in this way by going to the directory of course, but If needed , you can create a new flow that reads the filename with ASMA property setted in the new sender channel and put it in a table in a legacy, on PI or on Ecc (depending where you want the info).

Andrea

hi,

>>>is it possible to move the file (unstructured ones) to a different folder

If you want an automated way I don't think so it's possible in standard

>>>and is it possible to know the name of the file which is creating problems.

the name should be visible in the alert - if you can set up those
