ECC 5.0 IDES installtion problem, SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in profile nor ..

Hi,

I am installing ECC 5.0 IDES in Redhat 5 with oracle 10.2.0.4 in i386 system. I am facing problem in Database Load phase. System is waiting long and not showing any progess. In command line, I am getting some lines but not ERROR

sapparam(1c):No profile used.

sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in profile nor in commandline

Real group id set to 502.

sapparam: sapargv(argc,argv) has not been called.

502====group sapsys

I exported SAPSYSTEMNAME=IDS in root (installation account) and SAPSYSTEMNAME is present in both profiles (default, Instance) but still it is not processing and hangs at the same point.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ,

Please post info from sapinst_dev.log & check in this file which command its going to execute .Also post latest log files which generated during installation.

Hi..

R3load is running and processing task one after one after waiting for some time(long) and meanwhile finding for SAPSYSTEMNAME.

got info using ps -ef|grep R3load.

I found following in sapinst_dir while i am successfully able to connect to oracle using sqlplus /nolog and also able to start it in mounted and open state. Listner also started. please see the log.........searched forum but could not found any solution....

Your Oracle is down. Start the oracle database & try again.

Please run R3trans -d if error code 12 then check trans.log for more details .Attach logs from trans.log to assist you furhter on this.
