New SNP key figures with own categories to distinguish demands etc.

Hi,

I have a litlle bit of a challenging task to the SNP community. We are in a business situation in SNP where we have to split up the SAP standard key figures for deployment demands and receipts into two key figures each (to distinguish real distribution with TLB and distribution using sales orders/purchase orders). Our plan is to create new key figures and link them to new categories/category groups in the planning area setup. This is how it would look like to us for key figure "Distribution demand (Planned)" for example:

Auxiliary key figure "Distribution demand (Total)" as sum of key figure "Internal demand" (semantic 000, category ZH, which is similar to BH) and key figure "Distribution demand (Planned)" (semantic 000, category BH).

Of course, the ZH demand category will have a matching receipt category.

Did anybody out there ever have a similar situation in SNP, and how are your experiences, especially if it comes to heuristics, TLB, assignement of key figure functions etc.? Any input would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Werner Buchner

Hi Gelati,

if you are working with Auxiliary key figures then you can't store the values in Auxiliary key figures. SAP has stopped to store the data in Auxiliary Key figures from release 4.1 onwards. If you want to store the data then you m,ust create the key figure in demand planning.

Now auxiliary key igures work as a key figure to view the processed results based on your calculation not to process the results.

Hope this will server you.
