Access denied on component personalize

Hello everybody,

a user with role assignment eu_role gets a portal runtime error when clicking on the personalize link at the masthead.

The message is:

[quote] Access denied (Object: portal_content/every_user/general/personalize_portal)

Any ideas what could be the problem? I thought the role assignment to role eu_role is sufficient in order to get the personilization feature working.

Note: Only for user with role super_admin get the iView working.

Hey,

All you need to do is

go to System Administration -> Permissions -> Portal Content -> Portal Users (Double click) -> add the eu_role if its not there and check the 'End User' check box in the eu_role line.

Save the permissions and try again.

Hi Markus

open portal permission from following

system administration -> permission

now locate following.

portal content -> portal user ->standard portal users

right click on personalize portal open permission

look at under assigned permission.

if the permission missing for eu_role or everyone group?

assign read the permission for everyone group

don't forget to chek box with end user.

also check the permission for personalize page.

Hi Markus,

it could be that you changed permissions somewhere in the path to the object portal_content/every_user/general/personalize_portal, check that out (try to find out if it inherits permissions correctly) or reset the permissions for the object.
