Authorization problem in FK05 Block/Unblock Vendor

Dear friends,

We are facing an authorization problem in FK05 Block/Unblock Vendor.

We have multiple Company Codes on the same client and users are given authorization for the specific Company Codes. For FK05 Block/Unblock Vendor initial screen, the users' access is restricted only to the relevant company code. However, when user goes to the next screen for selected Vendor from his company code, there are 2 check boxes for Posting to be blocked for:

- All Company Codes

- Selected Company Code

Here user is able to block/unblock common vendors used by other Company Codes at the client level.

We want the user to be able to only be able to block/unblock vendor for the relevant Company Code.

Please let us know how to go about this.

Dear Vamsi,

I suggest you to first check the role(s) which is giveing access to the user to tcode FK05 and make sure that role (s) are restricitng the company code ( relevent) . PLease check for object F_LFA1_BUK.

Are you sure that user is not able to access other company codes in the initial screen of the tcode.

We have restricted all the roles so that only specific company code can be accessed. Further on checking at the object level for the specific tcode, we found that by removing activity 5 (Lock) option from object F_LFA1_GEN, the option for all company codes got disappeared from the t-code.

Thus we found the solution by trial and error.
