Inventory Material Subledger is out of balance with GL Material Account

We have 2 company codes whereby the inventory subledger does not agree with material general ledger account. This is evident when executing transaction MB5L (program RM07MBST) as well as transaction S_P6B_12000136 (program RM07MMFI). Both if these transactions display the value in detail in local currency per the Material Subledger but not the General Ledger Account.

Is there a program that will identify where the outages between the inventory material subledger and the related general ledger account? Is there another way to compare the detail between the two (table queries, etc.) that may assist in resolving these issues? Is there another way of determining the cause of the outages?

I would suspect that this may be a fairly common occurence.

Any insight or information that may lead to a resolution will be greatly appreciated.
