about XI Content MDM Business 5.5

I have a little puzzle:The XI Content MDM Business 5.5 was mentioned in the SAP ERP Support of MDM5.5 SP3 IT Scenario Configuration Guide.But it never appeared again in the following guide. Is it necessary for the configuration of ERP CLIENT SYSTEM INTEGRATION with MDM?Where should it be used? Thanks.

Since the XI Business content for MDM 5.5 considers both inbound and outbound interfaces, it should be installed in every XI system that will be used as a middleware between R/3 and MDM 5.5 regardless of the MDM business scenario you are impementing.
