ECL Viewer will only work for files not checked in....

Hello gurus.

I use ECL Viewer in SAP DMS, and it works fine as long as the files are not checked in. When I "check in orig." (to storage cat.: DMS_C1_ST) the ECL Viewer returns the error message: "2D Viewer -> Unable to open document.".

Please advice.

Hello,

Do you have EAI.Viewer enabled? I cannot access system at the moment but I recall that EAIViewer was a must to see. You are using KPRO?

Yes, I'm using KPro.

I installed the ECL Viewer Patch 4, and that solved my "Adobe Forms Preview" problems.....but not this issue.

...checking the box "You can not rename temporary files" solved my problem !! (transaction DC30)

hello eric,

I am not an expert in DMS but thought of mentioning this...

1. While definfing the workstation application for drawings, is there any "file suffix for application"....I was getting such error because of this.... remove if any.

2. Also try checking the box "you can not rename temporary files"
