Hi Experts,

-how XI will communicate with servers that do not use uid/pw for SFTP.

-In this case, how is the generation of public/private keys is handled.

I believe we will need certificates for this to work...? how can i create certificates or from where i can get certificates ..?

Regards

RK

Hi,

Yes you need certificates to be used for SFTP communuication.

For certificates, need to import it on Key Storage service--> service_ssl view in Visual Admin or create the key pair certificate on XI and then sign then on some Certification Authority, on the same service.

Refer -- http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f1/2de3be0382df45a398d3f9fb86a36a/frameset.htm

SFTP communication is supported via Seeburger adapters.

Thanks

Hi RK,

As far as I know, XI cannot support SFTP protocol using the standard adapters available.

You need to buy SFTP adapter from external vendors like Seeburger.

May be the options you have asked for, are a part of the SFTP seeburger adapter .

There is some information about the public key encryption and certificates here:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/a8/882a40ce93185de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

see if it is helpful.

Ravi
