Hi,
I'd like to know if I can "upgrade" my development environment to NWCE. Currently, I'm using NWDS 7.0.15, and the application server should be a 7x version, I'm not all sure about it. I'm using NWDI also. Would that be a problem? - Can I switch to a newer development IDE and when the DC's get "Activated" in the NWDI will use the current application server libraries?
If you deploy to a 7.0 server you must use a 7.0 IDE, not a newer one.

Hi,
you can not upgrade to NWDS 7.1 as it uses java 1.5 and the libraries that are used by CE are not compatible with EP 7.0
we use lower or equal versions of Developer Studio as that of NetWeaver Application Server.
The problem you may encounter is jar files and plugins of IDE may not be supported by NW WEBAS
