SPROXY in ECC for PI

Former Member

hello guys,

The PI system has just got installed, when i saw SPROXY transaction i came across a whole lot of interfaces in ECC.

Is it as an add on component for other ERP products..cos generally even in Dev systems i have seen only the interfaces we define in IR reflecting in SPROXY in ECC

ne idea on this?

Hi,

>>>The PI system has just got installed, when i saw SPROXY transaction i came across a whole lot of interfaces in ECC.

if you don't see interfaces from ESR that means that the SPROXY is not configured yet

so the installation is not finished

Hi Michal,

We have just installed 7.0, and in my prev projects when i went to SPROXY in ECC i would see only the interfaces defined in IR.

How ever now in ECC with SPROXY transaction I see a few interfaces like...HR etc

do we get it as default for ESR?..we r on sp 19 of PI 7.0

It says local objects only..no connection to ESR

any idea on the above?

Regards,

Teja

You have to enter the transaction code (/nsproxy)again till you get connected. Refresh alone doesnt work.We too face this problem in PI7.0

Hi,

The ECC is not yet configured with PI, thus you are able to see the local objects instead of IR part.

Better to check the HTTP connection test, that will help you to ensure the connectivity.

Hi Ravindra,

I think the connections are not proper.

check the connections in the ECC like

Regarding Proxy Scenario We need 3 connections
STEP1:
1.TCP\IP connections
1.1.LCRSAPRFC
1.2.SAPSLDAPI
2.Settings are to be done in SLDAPICUST transaction
3.Http Connection: -
3.1.PI_INTEGRATIONSERVER

Purpose of LCRSAPRFC:

In order to get the interface details in SPROXY transaction.

Purpose of SAPSLDAPI

To connect to SLD and get the respective business system name maintained in SLD,

Purpose Of SLDAPICUST

Next Execute transaction SLDAPICUST to maintain the SLD access data.

Purpose of PI_INTEGRATIONSERVER

Create a destination of type H in transaction SM59.This connection is used to send the message to the Integration server

Check all these connections are there or not in ECC.

I think problem with LCRSAPRFC...Check that connection and check the programID is same as programID in XI..

Thanks

Hi Ravindra,

Can you go to SXMB_ADM to see if your SAP ECC system is configured as a application system with the corresponding RFC destination of type 'H' to SAP XI ?

This is very important.

Thanks.

Hi Ravindra,

I'll surely help you. First make sure the connections (I mentioned above) are proper or not. check SAPSLDAPI and others..

in SXMB_ADM---->Integration Engine Configuration -

>Role of Business System-->Application System

and Corresponding Integration Server has to be there.

Make sure this and let me know further issues...

Thanks.

Hi Ravindra,

If it is a PI system then role of the Business System should be Integration Server...If it is an ECC( other than PI) then role has to be Application System.

Thanks.

Hi Raviindra,

TO enable Proxies in R/3 we have to have RFC connections from R/3 to PI and viceversa.

Please refer the follwing link for the Proxy connections that you will have to have the RFC connection LCRSAPRFC .

In order to get the interface details in SPROXY transaction, the application server needs to connect to integration repository of Pi so that the same IR structure will apper in SPROXY transaction too and you can generate proxies based on those interfaces that you created in PI
