Try using Component Configuration and creating a new configuration for the application. Via component configuration you should be able to alter the text of button (assuming the button isn't dynamically generated via code in the component). This is a very safe change, since the component configuration is stored separatly from the component itself. You can have multiple component configurations and they never change the underlying component itself.
