Hello,
I've installed:
System 1: SID = SB1 / Instance 00 / Hostname: sapsb1
System 2: SID = SB2 / Instance 10 / Hostname: sapsb2
I've installaed both systems with different hostnames (SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME).
Now I want to connect to system SB2 via MDM console. I'm using sapdb2 as hostname for
the connection. But I will connected to SB1.
Is a multi-SID installation of MDM 7.1 possible?
Is it possible to specify the instance number while connecting e.g. "sapsb1 10" (it doesn't work).
Best regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
In SAP MDM 5.5 we can install more than 1 instances of MDM clients and can access differnt servers differently. We have to install and locate them at 2 different places and while opening the particular client has to be opened. If not done like this, the mdm client will overwrite the existing client and we will get error as u mentioned.
Rgrds,
Bis
