Automatic packing

How can automatic packing be done? Can anybody explain me step by step including creating packing instruction by POP1, customizing and etc.? Can we make automatic packing without any development (without using BAPI or userexits)?

Hi,

Apart from the basic steps of packing determination procedure( which you can refer through any book), you need to follow the following steps .

1. Maintain the packing instructions using txn POP1 and entering the main material & packaging material.

2. Create packaging instruction determination using POF1. Select the condition type relevant.

3. See to it that material master data( basic view 1 )of main material should contain 'Matl grp pack.matls' same as the condition type you are using.
