dispatcher running but dialog queue information not available

Former Member

HI ALL,

During upgrade of BIW 3.1 i needed to upgrade kernel version from 620 to 640 after replacment

i am getting "dispatcher running but dialog queue information not available". i tried different kernel

but same result.Even when i try R3TRANS - D it hangs without giving any result. I tried to revert

back to old kernel level but no benifit.

I also kept eye on change directory structure while kernel upgrade.

Please help me out.

Sanjeev

I doubt that your "dialog queue unavailable" and the R3trans error are related...

hi

no longer "dispatcher running but dialog queue information not available" status it is dying down after the start with sql error -1.

Errlier even r3trans -d was hanging up now it is giving return code 12.

Kernel 640 is downward compatible.

There seems to be an issue with your database. Is it started properly?

can you do a "select * from v$instance" if you logon using "sqlplus "/ as sysdba"?

you may check the patchlevel of your kernel, there were some issues in the past.
