send same IDOC to target system using SOAP Adapter

Hi experts,

Is it possible to send the IDOC (for e.g. INVOICE) to target system as the same IDOC( for e.g. INVOICE) using SOAP adapter for the reciever side( using Target URLs)?

as per my understaning for the IDOC to IDOC communication both system should be R/3 systems.

Please clarify?

You cannot send an idoc using SOAP adapter.

what is your receiver system? As i mentioned before, if the receiver system is capable of processing the Idoc XML and it supports the SOAP protocol it shouldnt be an issue.

HI,

There are few SAP certified systems which have capability to deal with IDOCs, so this could be verymuch possible.

Also as mentioned above, via SOAP you may send the IDOC-XML to end-point url.

SOAP receiver adapter will enable you to send a SOAP message from the Integration Engine to the Web Service server.

The sender idoc adapter will convert the idoc to idoc xml.This IDOC XML can be then passed as the SOAP message to the target URL.

if you target system can accept the IDoc xml, then you can surely use the SOAP adapter and send it.
