Additional application server for APO

Dear all,

We have install another dialog instance for SCM to be a APO application server, but when ERP sending queue to this new dialog instance for processing, we will see error "SYSFAIL" in ERP SMQ1 and indicates that "Error accessing DDIC: T001L". The only way to resolve it is shutdown dialog instance and repeat process to re-direct it to original central instance for processing. Please advise if there is anything we should pay attention when install another dislog instance for APO/LiveCache usage, thanks very much!

Solution :

Please check the OMS Heap Limit in APO system

Tcode --LC10 > LCA ( click Livecache Monitoring)> Administration --> Configuration --> Parameter.

OMS_HEAP_LIMIT --- > Number of KB useable for OMS heap (change this HEAP LIMIT to number of OS memory / 2 ).

I hope this will fix this issue.

After installing additional dialog instance, have u checked with internal consistency. Please check through /sapapo/om17 and also check through /sapapo/om13 and select check tab. If these 2 are ok then we can think of some other problem..

by the way, the system log of new APO dialog instance shows below error repeatly:

Database error -10709 at CON

Hello Sir,

Thanks for the reply, but in fact I want to know that if is there anything we should pay attention to when installing additional AP server for APO due to performance issue when processing DB Procedure Call. We have installed a new AP server, so do we need to do something extra like configuring anything in SPRO or setting any parameter to make it work to process those queues.....thanks
