We have a scenario where two T lanes X and Y are equivallent in terms of different priorities. While running CTM, system is always picking T Lane X first and Y second. Need a light on the system behavior as why T Lane X is being considered first.
Below is the situation details-
Source locations- X and Y
Destination location- Z
Product- P
Proc priority- Both 1
Location priority(X,Y) - Both 12
T Lane distance- Both 336 Hrs
TLane cost- Both zero
Demand type- Manually created order
CTM Demand priority- 1. material avl date(MBDAT) 2. ATP cat(ATPCAT) 3. Date when record was added(ERTMS) 4. Loc priority(LOCPRIO) 5. location(LOCNO)
Hi Bhupendra,
As required, I have provided the necessary documentation link of SAP
which explains the evaluation criteria of priority in CTM
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/52/b2ba1afdeb4345aac8cac4139d6148/frameset.htm
Please confirm whether your query is resolved.

Hi Bhupendra,
CTM considers the priority in the following areas
1) Product priority (in material master)
2) time dependent priority in location product master
3) Proc priority in lane (as you have already mentioned priority is same)
4) Proc priority in PPM
5) Proc priority in PDS
You enter the product priority and time-dependent priority in the location product master on the SNP 2 tab page. You enter the product priority under Other Data and the time-dependent priority under CTM Settings.
If all the priorities are same and not able to distinguish by system, system uses
its own logic for prioritisation or it uses the material number based prioritisation or
it uses the time at which the material number is created.

Hi Senthil
Thanks for the reply . IIn the given scenaro , all things are same except material creation date for two plants differ. That could be the possible reason.
I would request you to help me with suggested documentation that might be available on the topic so as to get more information of the same.
Regards
Bhupendra
