when I start the Software Lifecycle Manager I get the following error:

CR Content of SLD Server is not up to date,log on to the SLD server and import the latest CR content.

The question is where can I get this latest CR content?. and how to go about the whole process

look at sap note 669669 which show how can u import latest cr content

You will get concerned files at

<server>\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\SYS\global\sld\model\cr_content.zip
