PPDS scheduling

Hi Guys,

Please some one tell me how to do shade sequence in PPDS , I mean i want to plan in the sequence white,yellow,blue ,green and black .

Hi,

There is function of set up dependent seuqence in APO.

You need to define set up group for each of this shade. Assign this Set up group to PPM of products with respective shades.

You need to define set up matrix which contains transition between these shades and set up time for these transisitons.

Assign this set up matrix to resource on which you want to plan sequnce.

To Plan sequence you have following options.

1. Manually through detail schduling board or production planning table.

2. By detail schduling herustic minimise set up time.

3. Run optimizer by giving more weightage to set up costs.

Manual planning can help to get exact same sequence while heuristic, optimzer will not give exactly same sequence
