Experts, Could you please tell me the differences between SAP R/3 and APO-SNP. How to integrate these two?
Could you please let me about the TP VS functionality...I
Thanks in advance.
Ramesh,
Hi Ramesh,
1) The basic differences between R/3 and SNP functionality is that
R/3 is the execution tool and SNP is the planning tool in which planning
can be done in SNP and the results will be sent back to R/3 for
execution purposes.
2) Both R/3 and SNP can be integrated together via Core interface.
This core interface exists in R/3. One has to create integration
models in R/3 to integrate master data and transactional data
elements between R/3 and SNP.
3) TP/VS module is the tranportation planning module in SCM.
ie Tranportation planning and vehicle scheduling. Using this module,
one can plan transports, service provider, scheduling a vehicle,
transport capacity planning etc.,
