Hello Folks
I have problem installing SAP R/3 Enterprise (4.72 Enterprise Ext2) IDES Version
The installation is under Windows 2003 server SP2 and Oracle 920
I'm in the Database Instance Installation (non-unicode) and phase 29 (Updating database statistics)
The following error is:
TRACE [synxccuren.cpp:452]
grantAccessTo
Granted access rights 0xf01ff for object default to user chavez-server\mauadm with inheritance flags 0.
TRACE<i> [synxccuren.cpp:1045]

ERROR 2009-08-23 13:27:58

) in execution of a 'CreateProcess' function, line (284), with parameter (E:\usr\sap\MAU\SYS\exe\run/brconnect ...).
When i ran the brconnect manually i received the same error (This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem)
When i ran brconnect using cmd.exe i received the following error
E:\usr\sap\MAU\SYS\exe\run>brconnect.exe
The system cannot execute the specified program.
I think is important mention this, i had problem 1 setp before about the brtools 7.00
Execution of the command "E:\usr\sap\MAU\SYS\exe\run/brconnect -u / -c -f crsyn -o SAPMAU" finished with return code 3. Output:
BR0801I BRCONNECT 7.00 (16)

BR0310E Connect to database instance MAU failed
BR0280I BRCONNECT time stamp: 2009-08-23 13.06.43
BR0804I BRCONNECT terminated with errors
I downloaded the correct version (640) DBATOOLS Package for Oracle 9.2 and i replaced the files
Please folks someone have any idea about this, i tried search on the web and nothing, on the marketplace and nothing
Thanks all for your help

and something on top: 640_EX2 is only for Oracle 10g - it won't work with Oracle 9.2. So you should change your kernel to 640 back - then the R3DLLINS works.

Ok Markus, i did the following
First i downloaded vcredist_<platform>.exe from Microsoft web page and retry the installation
And the following error i got

brconnect.exe Unable to locate component "this application has failed to start because orasql10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
And this is the log

Second i downloaded the kernel 640 whitout ext2 and i get the following error

Two questions:
- How did you install Oracle? Did you install it using "sapserver.cmd" or did you execute "setup.exe"?
- What database patchlevel are you running?

Hello Markus
i downloaded 3 disk from service.sap and i started the installation without oracle patch, when i got this error i stoped the installation and then i applied the following patch Oracle 9.2 Patch Set 7 WIN I386 32Bit but after the patch the problem persist, then i decided open a post here
And I installed using setup.exe from oracle folder
> i downloaded 3 disk from service.sap and i started the installation without oracle patch, when i got this error i stoped the installation and then i applied the following patch Oracle 9.2 Patch Set 7 WIN I386 32Bit but after the patch the problem persist, then i decided open a post here
So you just installed the patch? Or did you run the several sql scripts after that? It's not enough to just execute setup-next-next-finish - not with Oracle
> And I installed using setup.exe from oracle folder
This is not correct, environment variables are missing and usually you don't need to create any directory manually.
BTW: those steps are all covered in the installation guide.
Markus
Hey
I reinstalled all, database, central instance, i patched oracle before the installation, i followed the installation guide, and sap notes for the oracle patch
and i got the same error
brconnect.exe Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because orasql10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem

Hello Anindya Bose thanks for your answer
but, i did this step, i downloaded Brconnect 640 and i replaced in the kernel folder
but after this i get this error
ERROR 2009-08-23 13:27:58
FSL-06002 Error 14001 (This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
) in execution of a 'CreateProcess' function, line (284), with parameter (E:\usr\sap\MAU\SYS\exe\run/brconnect ...).
Where did you change the files? NTADM folder or run?
Check the brconnect version from both the folder.. One is NTADM and other one is run.
From command prompt just navigate to those folder and run "brconnect" ..it will show you error but will tell you the brconnect version
What is your server version? 32 bit or 64 bit? Did you selet the right component?

you can ran that commad brconnect.....from the first screen of command prompt..dont need to go to run folder. I assumed you are using SIDADM to login

i downloaded again the DBATOOLS Package for Oracle 9.2.x AGAIN and still the same problem
The route was
Download

SAP KERNEL 6.40_EX2 32-BIT
Windows Server on IA32 32bit
o ORACLE
DBATL640O92_51-10004734.SAR DBATOOLS Package for Oracle 9.2.x
I replaced all file (10 files)
brarchive.exe
brbackup.exe
brconnect.exe
brrecover.exe
brrestore.exe
brspace.exe
brtools.exe
initSID.sap

The values are
ORACLE_SID ---> MAU
ORACLE_HOME ---> F:\ORACLE\MAU\920
SAPDATA_HOME ---> F:\oracle\MAU
Those are environment variables..No need to be Oracle Expert..
My Computer->right Click "Properties"->"Advanced" tab--->Environmet Variables.
I am just thinking why "The system cannot execute the specified program." message is coming. System can not access brconnect?
Also check the value of PATH and SAPEXE
The system cannot execute the specified program" error. This usually means that the program you are trying to run was compiled against DLLs that are not on your system
So, somewhere must be it is a problem with dll file as I mentioned earlier

Yes sorry sorry i was confused :S
The values are
ORACLE_SID ---> MAU
ORACLE_HOME ---> F:\ORACLE\MAU\920
SAPDATA_HOME ---> F:\oracle\MAU
I will paste all Variables
DBMS_TYPE --> ORA
DBS_ORA_SCHEMA --> SAPMAU
dbs_ora_tnsname --> MAU
PATH --> E:\usr\sap\MAU\SYS\exe\run
SAPEXE --> E:\usr\sap\MAU\SYS\exe\run
SAPLOCALHOST --> chavez-server
TNS_ADMIN -->
chavez-server\sapmnt\MAU\SYS\profile\oracle

hello again
i deleted the profile folder and the env variable
i restarted the server and ....:(
Still the same problem
And no, this server dont had oracle 10g, actually is a new server
mmm do you have msn account .... lol i think is more easy hehehe

...and now you need the correct runtime libraries. It's not an environment parameter problem, brconnect can't be started since the system doesn't find the correct runtime libraries.
You need to download the correct runtime (not 32bit if you run 64bit) and just install them.

I downloaded both runtime libraries for 32bit because my server is 32bit
I downloaded
r3dllinst.zip
dbghelp_i386.zip
I installed r3dllinst and dbghelp i unziped and replace on the kernel folder
still the same prolem
i will go to search muy gun hehehehe

Yes - because those are wrong.
The note says:
For SAP Releases 4.6D EX2, Web AS 6.40 EX2, SAP NetWeaver 7.01 and 7.10 and higher, download the installation program vcredist_<platform>.exe (C runtime 8.0; this is contained in Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributables) from the Microsoft download page.
so please do that. The link is given in the note. And please doublecheck that you download and install the correct ones.
