Can another DB will run with sap system ?

Hi,

Our company is usign Ecc6 with oracle 10 2 4, but the requirement of company is that we want to install another software which is textile specific with another oracle db other than sap db.

so is it possible to create another oracle db for different software

yes, it is possible. install it under separate ORACLE_HOME.

I would create a Solaris zone on the server and so have a totally isolated environment without affecting the SAP system.

Yes - likewise - but from the OS itself.
