Decimal Point Changes

Dear ,

Previously for INR client done decimal place as 2

Now he want to change it to 3

My question is what will be the effect ?

whether it will affect to my previous orders and Invoices

Pls put your expert thought on this

Hi

As Raja said, there is no point in 3 decimal places.

Anyway you can change and there is no any changes to your previous invoices . also you can check and consult with your FI guys.

Hi,

In a productive system, you

must not delete the

currencies in use or change the

decimal places.

This could make amounts in

documents already posted

incorrect or invalid.

Hello,

Change in DECIMAL places is a minor configuaration work and it wont effect all the document which were created prior to this

Change, But as rightly point out by Mr Raja singh this will impact the Currency value of INR As we have only two digits in the

Decimal places.

Please check the Transaction code OY04 from which you can understand . I believe the decimal place changes are only for foreign currency.

Hi,

I dont understand any requirement for changing decimal point to 3 digit. Why is this requirement? in INR also 2 decimal is sufiecient as we dont have any currency below 1 Paisa which is 0.01 Re.
