Where to Install Central instance of Process Integration

Hello Everyone,

We are in process of installation of PI 7.0 Sr3 in HIgh Availability on windows server 2003 , oracle database.

Our plan is to install ASCS, SCS, DB , CI on node A & DI on Node B.

In Installation guide its given that " Central instance installation " of PI is to be done on local disk.

why we need to do central instance installation on local disk?

Can I install central instance on shared disk in HA cluster instead of local disk ?

If yes, any other implicaiton later on.

Hi,

Follow the SAP installation guide. Otherwise your HA system will not be supported.

The central instance is not a SPOF and so not installed on the shared disk.
