Hello Experts,
We have implemented SAP WM with ECC6.0 in our company.I am just wondering to know what is purpose of implementing TRM along with WM ? When we say resource management in TRM, Is that only for large warehouses with many employees? Or we can also implement small warehouses with few employees? is the TRM a stand alone system and we integrate with WM ? Please explain in detail. What business need or requirement leads to TRM implementaion ?
I appreciate your response

Dear RK
as the Full form of TRM represent Task and Resource managemnt
let's take a case where in your warehouse you are having limited resource (Material Handling Equipment) and you want to effectively utilize all the available resource to get the maximum output. In this case you can go for TRM module.
Usage of TRM module is totally depend on the no of transaction, Type of the resource and the its utilization.
e.g. No of Task needs to perform 5
No of available resource 3
if you will activate the TRM module then system will equally load the task on all the three available resource. while loading the task system takes into consideration the XYZ co-ordinate of the bins (Distance travelled by individual resoure and Time taken to perform the task)
Hope this will help

RK,
TRM is usually used when there are lot of Employees/Operators working in the Warehouse and if you want to manage them effeciently for example: Optimum Route calculation for executing a Task/TO with in Warehouse, Effeciently distributing work across resources. TRM is integrated into WM and not a stand alone system. All the transactions done in TRM will be reflected back to WM right away.
Hope it helps.
Vinod.
