SRM PRODUCT MASTER DATA

Hello,

Kindly tell me the procedure to create the product master data on SRM ( standalone ). We have Classic Scenario in place where in the two hierarchies R3MATCLASS & R3PRODSTYP are assigned to backend.

Now i have created a Local Hierarchy ( Only, No assignments to set types n product type and all ) & category too, under which i try to create the material / Service. In commpr01 the system doesent allow me to create under the local hierarchy & the underneath category.

Kindly help.

P.S:- We would be having Classic scenario for materials & Standalone scenario for services.

But it is possible to create local material and services in SRM

commpr01

create services

category

select

material_dien select

continue

give your local product category category id (product categoryies tab)

give name for material

and give text and save

I did tried the ur sloution but the system doesnt allow me to create service saying

"Category SRMSRV does not belong to the base hierarchy for this product type"

i created one service now

create service

choose category srv_

enter

you give service1

and now you give your service category under product category info.

ps- if your category is selected as comm_hierarchy - product type as service (your product category). you can do it.
