Hello,
I recall having read that the appropriate number of dialog work process(Netweaver 7.0) in a system depends upon the RAM/Swap of the server.
But I am unable to find the formula with which I can calculate that value.
I would really appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction.

Apart form the links provided above, you may also consider that each work process may occupy 50-60 MB of memory. This figure is mentioned in TADM Coursebook for SAP Netweaver Certification. This is just an indicative figure and might not hold in case of exceptions, but under normal conditions, you may use it for calculation purpose.
