Hold lot

Dear all,

Basically i am PP consultant, don't have enough knowledge in QM

at current project , i am looking after PP as well as QM

Now the issue

raw material procured by the client, will be first inspected in QA32, then UD will take place

Say for example there is a lot for raw material for 100 nos

now they do for 5 nos inspection & they OK the lot

if it is rejected then, they put in Block stock & send back to vendor

now say for example a lot is on hold

Hold means they have to check whole 100 nos & decesion can be taken after two days

how to hold the lot, user should not do UD for this particular lot

how to Map this in SAP

Hi

Actually there is no such a concept of hold in SAP

but what you can do is

1.Either put all Qty 100 nos in block stock & take UD say RH(design UD code as RH)

then after inspection remove material from BS by MB1B -->343 mvt.

2.you can only take UD .Don't do stock Posting.After inspection you can post the material in unrestricted use.

this will help you.You can also identify such lots by specific UD code.

hi

1.Either put all Qty 100 nos in block stock & take UD say RH(design UD code as RH)

then after inspection remove material from BS by MB1B -->343 mvt.Create a QM view .Activate 01 for material.

tick on task list & check char.

When MIGO will be done .inspection lot with 01 will be created.

Now go to QA32 -->UD screen ->enter UD code.>Put the Qty in block stock>save

(Prior to this

Go to QS41-->Select catlog 3 -->create UD code as RH in addition to existing.)

Now if you want to remove material from Block Stock

MB1B->343 mvt

follow same procedure above said except do not do stock posting just save after UD.

After you finish inspection change UD & do stock posting.
