one equipment 3 plant

Hi Every one,

I got one complex scenerio in which we are having 3 plants which are at same place but they are different plants. Now the probloem is there are few platns which are used by all 3 plants for example transformer, boiler and all. Is there any way in sap throurh which one equipment can be used by more than 1 plant. Kindly guide me how should go ahead?

can you please tell me transformer, boiler etc are commonly shared by all 3 plants or they are different entity.(differently used in different plants)

Hi sujit thanx for reply in my scenerio i have 3 plants and some equipments are there which are commonly used. means transofrmer is used in all 3 plants so 1 equipment and 3 plant. so that is the scenerio.

the only possible solution that looks is you can have different EQ masters for different plants with some extension.

like Trans1,Trans2 etc

otherwise you can not have differnt plants for same Equipemnt.

HI,

These equipments can be created as functional location. Do maintain any maintenance plant in location tab. Maintain only company code. With reference to those functional locations you can perform activities.

E.g.

1. XXXX-Transformer

2. XXXX-Boiler

3. XXXX-D.G set.

Are the equipments shared only operationally?

Ideally the equipments should be created in SAP in the plant which is responsible for Planning and Maintenance of those equipments wrt resources.
