Hi,
Currently having error during installing 'Dialog Instance'.
The error message pop-up,
CJS-30149 ABAP processes of instance MID/DVEBMGS01 [ABAP: UNKNOWN] did not start after 10:00 minutes. Giving up.
ERROR 2009-08-20 11:29:15
FCO-00011 The step start with step key |NW_Doublestack_CI|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_CI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|11|0|NW_CI_Instance_Start|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|start was executed with status ERROR .
During installation, i select 'ABAP schema' as 'SAP<SID>'. Not sure if the value is correct?
I tried a 'run new installation' and getting the same error message.
How can I continue?
Please advice.
Thanks.

Hi kb
are you installing central instance on the same host of database instance?
If yes, I suggest you to stant installation again choosing Central System installation.
Otherwise, you cannot change now schema owner.
I suppose you are installing on Windows box. So, please connect with user "midadm", open command prompt and "sqplus / as sysdba".
Then try with "connect sapmid"; it will ask for the password and you shoul dprovide the master password you choose during the installation.
Let me know.

Problem was resolved with reinstallation of the system all over again.
Thanks for the contribution.

Hi
Pls follow the installation task given below and start the installation again .
The SCS and the central instance must be in same box(SVR12),and the dababase instance in other box(SVR5)
1)Central Services Instance (SCS)--svr12
2)Database Instance--SVR5
3)Central Instance --SVR12
You will be able to get the schema SAPSR3 by default
Pls let me know in case of any issue .

Hi RC,
Thanks for the reply. The environment is svr5 (db instance) and svr12 (central instance). Both servers windows 2003K x64.
Install steps.
i) install oracle and oracle patch (10.2g) on Svr5
ii) install from sapinst -> sap NW sr2 -> sap systems -> oracle - > distribute system -> Abap and Java system -> SCS (on svr5)
iii) install from sapinst -> sap NW sr2 -> sap systems -> oracle - > distribute system -> Abap and Java system -> DB Instance (on svr5)
iv) install from sapinst -> sap NW sr2 -> sap systems -> oracle - > distribute system -> Abap and Java system -> Central Instance (on svr12)
Is the above steps correct? Steps ii) should be on svr5 or svr12?
This time i select 'SAPSR3' as 'ABAP schema'. Is this correct?
