As per our client requirement, they want to discontinue a storage location from WM that they are using from last one year.

So, please let me know before removing the assignment of storage location from WM, what are the steps we need to do in the WM & IM. (For example do we need to remove all the stocks from both WM &IM Etc.)

Please help...

Thanks & Regards,

Pavan CN

Hi,

Ensure there is no warehouse stock available in LS26. If there is any WH stock transfer same to non WH managed sloc using 311 movement. Then use OX09 to delete WH managed sloc assignment to your plant. Also confirm same in table T320. Please note, at the time of GR, you should not get WH tab.

Thanks

Hi

Once you have carried out all of the steps that have been advised you need to break the assignment in the config for 'Plant - St Loc - Warehouse' and then delete the St Loc if it is not required although you can still use the Sloc but the materials you put in there will not be Warehouse Managed anymore

I hope that this helps

Hi,

Depends on whether there's stock in the storage location, you may need to carry out a stock migration before you can remove the storage location - WM assignment.

Assume you want to continue use WM with another storage location, say WM01, you can follow below steps to migrate the stock:-

1. Use MB52 to list existing stock under the plant and storage location

2. Perform a transfer posting (MB1B) to move those stock to another storage location, WM01 (pay attention to stock type and use correct movement type)

3. Create/confirm TOs for the PCNs generated from step 2 (assume auto TO creation is not activated)

4. Remove the assignement

N.B. Before working through those steps, make sure no open documents (TO, TR, PCN etc.) exist.
