Increase of Spool DB Calls since Upgrade to ECC 6.0

We upgraded our ERP system form 4.7c to ECC 6.0 EhP3. Basis SP Level is 18, Kernel Release 185.

Since the upgrade we have an increase of Spool process DB calls for about 25%.

Does anyone have an idea why this happens. All other process types like DIA, UPD, BGD or RFC are decreasing.

Did you have your output devices set to not query the host spooler on the 4.7 box? Anything strange show up in the wp trace for the spooler process?

Hi,

the checkbox not query the host spooler is not activated and also I do not see anything strange in the spool WP trace.

Printing works proberly but I am just wondering why the DB calls are so significantly inreasing. Maybe something has been changed in the spool processing within the new Release.

Hi,

To check what are the DB calls, take ST05 trace and see if by chance some logging, tracing or similar is not activated on the system to cause this overhead.

ST05 trace would clarify if it is related to new functionality too.
