Hi all,
We're on SAP 4.7 and looking at implementating Solution Manager. I know this is a big question but would greaty appreciate your guidance and experiences. What are the pit falls of an implementation, costs in dollars and manpower, benefits, how long will it take, what is the value? What should we be aware of prior to doing the implementation? Is this a one week project for one person, or what can we expect?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Paul
Thank you for the followup and interest. however I attended an EXCELLENT ASUG SolMan WebEx today headed up by Jim Spath. He did a superb job presenting SolMan and the associated challenges - and answered most of my questions.

Paul

Hi. The question is too broad. What component / tool / functionality are you looking to implement? For example if you are setting up basic availability monitoring vs ChaRM or Service Desk, the effort is going to be vastly different.
Also, what stage of the project are you in? Different pieces of SolMan functionality are rolled out at different project phases.

Thanks for the links but I am looking for the real world experiences of someone that has implemented solution manager, not the SAP literature. As you know, the two can be worlds apart.
