Hi All,

In our development system two standard sap jobs namely

SAP_REORG_UPDATERECORDS &

SAP_WP_CACHE_RELOAD_FULL

are in canceled status. When i search in market place i found a note 1034532 - Changes for standard jobs. This note says that both these jobs are no longer recommended by SAP.These note is for release 640,700 & 710.On the other hand my system release is 620.Again another SAP Note 16083 - Standard jobs, reorganization jobs says the same that these two standard SAP jobs are no longer count as stndard job.this note is release independent. So what we do ...should we delete these jobs from scheduling or how to come out of this situation.....all valuable inputs regarding these issue are welcome.

Regards,

Jituda

SAP Note 16083 is very specific about it... its sais,

SAP_REORG_UPDATERECORDS

SAP_REORG_UPDATERECORDS that was contained in some delivered versions must no longer be executed (see Note 67014). In its new version, the underlying ABAP Program RSM13002 is programmed so that it terminates when running in a job (that is, in the background). Therefore, the job SAP_REORG_UPDATERECORDS always terminates in this case. In any case, the job SAP_REORG_UPDATERECORDS should be deleted from the pool of standard jobs

SAP_WP_CACHE_RELOAD_FULL

This job can only be run on a workplace server, otherwise it will terminate. In the future, this job will no longer be delivered as a standard job.

If this job has been scheduled for your system, but you do not need it, delete the scheduled job in transaction sm37

should we delete these jobs from scheduling or how to come out of this situation

Well, seems like its pretty self-explanatory, I'll follow the instructions on 16083 and 1034532 and remove them.

Hi,

The information provided in sap notes is correct.

Please bring those jobs in scheduled mode so that those jobs never run again.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Vidyadhar,

Thanks for your reply. The Valid Releases for SAP note 1034532 - Changes for standard jobs are

SAP_BASIS 60 640 640

SAP_BASIS 70 700 700

SAP_BASIS 71 710 710

Again my SAP basis level is SAPKB62038.Is it ok for me to schedule these jobs in my system
