Customer Rejection in QM

Dear Gurus,

When we are doing return delivery for customer returned materials, the inspection lot is getting generated for it. Now we are not able to do PGR for it as usage decision is not done. We have to do usage decision for the entire stock without rejecting any. Now we have a situation wherein some lot has to be scrapped and some has to be sent for repair through quality. How to address this issue as we are not able to do any stock posting while doing the UD?

Dear Friend

If you need stock posting in return deliveyr process you need to use 655 movement type and activate 05 inspection type.

651 will not support 05 inspection type and wil have only support 06 Inspection type which doesnt have stock posting facility

Hi

Only solution is to activate 05 inspection type for the material

Also assign inspection lot origine 05 against 651 mvt type & against customer return order type.

The 06 - Inspection type is not stock relevant and also it is not possible to change because it is SAP std.

If you want inspection for Customer with stock, active 05 - Inspection type in Material Master, and move the stock from customer return to QI by using MB1B

also

Inspection type 05 is a stock relevant inspection type.

To use 05 you must assign the 05 inspection type to the delivery item in configuration.

Follow this path.

Tcode +++ vov6 +++(also check V0V8) --> there will be schedule line category DN.

go to details of DN.In Business data, check which movement type is assigned here.(Returns in MM)

I think in your case it will be 651.

Change it to 655 and try now.

But izt recommendable to change the movement type from Std Schedule line category??

here we have 2 comp codes, both of them QM is activated, for 1 comp code , they want automatic posting to QI. but the other its not needed.

bcoz of that , we cant go for new sales doc type, to trigger the new scheduline category which has mov type 655.

my doubt is,in DN sch.category why 651 mov type has given in std, SAP can directly provide 655 to it?

Yes

certainly not recommended to change the default SAP settings.

but what you are saying is right ........directly 655 should have such provision.

so what you can do against 655 maintain 06 inspection lot origin.
