I get the above error in VA01, when trying to print preview a

sales order. The master data, output procedure and

determination look okay. The Smartform gets determined, but I

canu2019t print preview. It is based on the sp partner, and that is

determined correctly.

If I save and go to VA02, I can see the print preview without any

problems.

THIS IS STANDARD SAP. how can you view print preview in VA01. You can view the print preview only after sales order save. OR if you want more details goto VA01>extras>output>header>edit and check the status of your output type. To view print preview it SHOULD be GREEN - processed. But in VA01 all outputs are in YELLOW status - not yet processed. Once you save your sales order these output types get processed and you can view in VA02.

Hi Mashour,

Please check whether your smart from is using standard driver program or Custom driver program.

May be in the custom driver program, data is picked up from the database tables. But the document is not saved so the program is unable to pick up the data.

Where as in standard program, SAP picks the data from Database tables if its saved.

or from the Work areas / Internal tables ( Which are gets filled while creating the Document) when the document is being craeted.
