MM: ME05 background execution takes more time

Hi friends,

I am running ME05 (program: RM06W003) in the background to generate source list automatically based on the variants. But it takes too long to finish.

So, Anybody knows any optimizing process or performance steps to run this program RM06W003 in the background?

Hello Mourougane,

at first you have to identify what the bottle neck is .. you can do this with the transactions ST03n or STAD. If you can rerun the job again .. STAD would be the best solution.

After you have identified the bottle neck (database, ABAP, maybe system related things) you can go into deeper analysis.

After my analysis on STAD, it looks the transaction ME05 take much time to process the data. However, database request time is acceptable for example 305685 records.

It would be preferable,if sap can improve the processing time consumption to 1/3.
