Hi All,
I got warning message after performing backup " Compression rates out of date - run BRBACKUP with option '-k only' ". I read in this forum the solution is to run command "brbackup -k only" in OS level. But after i run it I got error :
BR0068E SAP system is running or SAP user is connected to database JMD - database cannot be shut down
BR1025I Please shut down SAP system first or use the 'offline_force' option
Is it needed to run brbackup -k only in SAP mode offline?
Thanks any input will be appreciate..
Regards
Aswin

No.
But unless specified otherwise, brbackup will try to use the backup_type from your init<SID>.sap file. And I suppose that is set to offline.
The obvious workaround:
brbackup -k only -t online
